Why do we come together?

Every two years, the Ethereum community comes together at Devcon to collaborate and build toward a more inclusive, trustworthy, democratic, and decentralized future. Devcon is not about hype or speculation; It is about creating a freer and more open society where technology enhances human potential and aligns with our core values.

For four days, developers, community leaders, and change makers come out of their silos and come together in one place to share knowledge, align with the future direction of Ethereum, and learn from each other. After Devcon, we’re back to our decentralized lives, but the momentum we’re creating motivates us to keep building.

Speakers

This year, Devcon received nearly 3,000 orders for the amplifier, double the number for the Devcon VI.

Community Led Sessions (CLS)

These mini-events within Devcon foster interdisciplinary discussions on topics of interest to both Ethereum and the community by bringing together experts from diverse fields. Some of the key sessions are:

• Discovery Day d/acc: led Vitalik Buterin, Vincent Weisser And others, this session explores Vision d/acc (defensive acceleration). And how we should focus on decentralization and defensive technologies to create a resilient future.

• MUD: Independent Worlds and Onchain Games: I organized it 0xPARCand latticeFor those interested in indie worlds, onchain games, and other complex Ethereum applications.

• Development on Ethereum: BuidlGuidl It will offer practical training courses for both beginners and advanced developers to build decentralized applications and write smart contracts. You’ll develop practical skills, receive mentorship, and network with other developers.

• Programmable encoder: 0xPARC Others will show how second-generation cryptographic primitives such as zero-knowledge proof, multiparty computation, and fully homomorphic cryptography are laying the foundation for a more perfect Internet.

• Official Verification Hangout: Informal discussions about the security and reliability of smart contracts and software systems, allowing researchers and developers to communicate.

Community hubs and discussion corners

If you’re looking to organize and lead discussions at Devcon, discussion corners are perfect for delving into Ethereum-related topics. Time reservations in discussion corners will open to everyone shortly before Devcon.

Community Hubs are spaces organized by the community to delve into specific Ethereum-related topics and to meet people working in specific Ethereum-related fields. Below are the featured community centers:

• Account stripping center: Focus on improving user onboarding while committing to decentralization. Discuss how the account abstraction ecosystem is evolving, from SDKs and wallets to protocol standards like ERC-4337.
• Adoption center: A space for designers, researchers, and marketers to collaborate on web3 adoption strategies, with a focus on improving user experience and trust.
• Center for Collective Intelligence Governance: Experts from leading DAOs discuss challenges and innovations in DAO governance design, delegation, accountability and funding, using collective intelligence to improve DAO governance.
• Community Gardeners Centre: A gathering place for community builders to connect, share global Ethereum initiatives, and explore effective community growth strategies.
• Onchain Creator Center: A space to explore onchain innovation, economic models, and tools needed to accelerate mainstream Ethereum adoption.
• Ethereum SEA Center: Celebrates the Ethereum communities in Southeast Asia, showcases local projects and promotes cross-collaboration.
• General Motors Center: Highlights web3 innovations from underrepresented regions, with a focus on Africa, Asia and Latin America. Participate in cross-cultural discussions about the real-world impact of blockchain.
• Center for Grants and Impact: A hub for grant programs, researchers, and builders focused on sustainable Ethereum projects, offering workshops on refining grant proposals and measuring impact.
• Hacking Center: Discover the cypherpunk values ​​of Ethereum and how blockchain can address privacy, censorship and human rights, through hands-on discussions and workshops.
• Home Operators Centre: A support space for home node operators, validators, and those who want to become one, offering one-on-one troubleshooting and workshops on running nodes with less than 32 ETH and achieving more decentralization in Ethereum.
• Regen Hub: A hub focusing on renewal and sustainability projects within Ethereum, discussing local empowerment and global initiatives.
• Maintain an open source development center: A space to explore open source business models and discover strategies for maintaining open source public goods within the ecosystem.
• The world of DeSci Hub: Focuses on decentralized science and how web3 technologies are reshaping the scientific landscape, turning science into a public good.
• Women in a Web3 World (W3): An inclusive space for women and allies to connect, learn, and discuss diversity and inclusion on Ethereum through workshops and fireside chats.

Pirate cave

Are you looking for a dedicated space to test and build new technology? Hacker Cave is outfitted with comfortable seating, cyberpunk neon lighting, and lush hanging plants. This space will get you in the right mindset to break through with new ideas.

Music and art space

Coworking area, meeting rooms and decompression room

For those looking for a quiet place to do some deep work at Devcon, there will be a dedicated Wi-Fi-enabled area on site for quiet group work.

You’ll also be able to book meeting rooms, large and small, for in-person meetings with your usually remote team, important one-on-one conversations, or other private discussions.

Devcon will also feature a decompression room, the perfect space to relax, unwind and let your mind wander. Equipped with hammocks, beds and massage therapy, they are designed to help you recharge and stay refreshed throughout the event.
