Ethereum protocol has completed the fifth regiment, and its climax reached the day of EPF at Devcon in Bangkok. Its completion is 5 months of overwhelming learning, research, and contributing to the basic ethereum ecological system from a group of talented and dedicated colleagues. Customer Dave and researchers welcomed the new shareholders, some of whom remained working with them in the long run.

In addition, the second repetition of the protocol study group concluded two months of intense learning about the basic protocol.

To learn more about EPF, take a look at some Previous jobs Regiment Warehouses.

What is new

With each group, we collect the comments and learn more about how to improve the experience of colleagues and ethereum devs. EPF5 brought some prominent changes, which led to a very fruitful group.

Before EPF5, we organized the first Protocol study group Which lasted for 10 weeks, which led to the EPF5. For those ten weeks, students participated in a designed approach to educating all areas of the protocol. This led to a smoother on board, as many colleagues are ready for EPF with more knowledge and resources.

The other main change in EPF5 was the duration, which spanned 4 to 5 months, giving colleagues an additional month to improve their projects and aim to larger ranges.

Similar to previous regiments, we hosted the EPF on Devcon to close the regiment. However, for the EPF5, we also organized an additional EPF day near the start of the regiment during the ethcc in Brussels. This event gave colleagues an opportunity to meet each other and the guides and provide the projects that they will work on through the regiment.

EPF5 statistics

The fifth regiment’s requests were opened in May 2024. After reviewing more than 300 requests, 20 participants were granted primary salaries to participate in the fellowship that works in basic research and development projects. Because the program is open, 25 additional participants join without permission. After a period of 5 months and more than 500 weekly updates, we finished the regiment with 30 active colleagues on EPF in Bangkok.

EPF5 projects

In all, colleagues suggested and contributed to 30 projects, with guides from various research and research teams, including Grandine, PRYSM, LightHouse, Besu, Nimbus, Nethermind, Geth, Teku, RIG and RIG. These projects are not only a valuable educational experience, but also representative contributions to the ethereum core. You can learn more about the project results in Final reports and View records from EPF day.
