Accepting payments in Ethereum is very beneficial, whether for businesses, freelancers, or even individuals who make occasional transactions. It provides privacy and complete control over your funds.

If you want to accept payment in Ethereum, you just need to provide the Ethereum address of your Material Ether wallet.

In other words, you must give the payer the code that appears on the interface.

Inverso material

For example, your title could be something like this:

0xbDD5ab039f26cB0b4bb8987d343B33944e1a1E48

To better understand, consider this example:

Imagine you want to charge for a service or product via a bank transfer in Euros. You will only need to provide your bank account number to tell the payer where to send the money. Your Material Ether wallet address is your “Ethereum Account Number.” It is a unique number in the world.

Practical advice!

Scan the QR code on your wallet with your mobile phone to get the address without having to copy it manually. This is important because it will help you avoid potential copying errors.

Remember that Ethereum transfers are irreversible. Sending to an address other than yours is equivalent to losing funds.

How much Ethereum should you receive?

When requesting payment, you will need to specify the amount of Ethereum you want to receive.

Continuing the example, imagine that you have completed a task worth 2500 euros, and you want to be paid in Ethereum to your Material Ether wallet.

Google “Euro to Ethereum”. You will find several calculators that will allow you to convert 2,500 Euros to the equivalent amount of Ethereum, according to the current rate. For example, at the time of writing, 2,500 Euros was equivalent to 1.19 Ethereum.

Can I create an invoice for my payers?

certainly.

Although payments received in Ethereum to your Material Ether wallet are inherently anonymous, if you wish, you can create an invoice in the same way you would with any fiat currency payment (euro, dollar, etc.).

When creating your invoice, you must include the amounts in Ethereum, along with their corresponding value in the currency of the country in which you want to present the invoice (for example, in Euros).

How can I be sure I have received payment?

There are many free services available on the Internet, such as this one or this one.

Click on the camera icon to scan the QR code on your wallet and check your transaction history (balance, incoming and outgoing funds).

Doing excercise

If you are requesting payment online

You will write the payer a letter (for example, an email) saying something like:

“Send me 1.19 ETH to the address 0xbDD5ab039f26cB0b4bb8987d343B33944e1a1E48.”

*This is an example, use your own data.

If you require payment in person

Show your Material Ether wallet so the other person (payer) can scan the QR code.

By following these guidelines, you can receive Ethereum payments into your Material Ether wallet privately and securely.

You can purchase your Ether directly from here.
