On March 20, 2024, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury sanctioned Ilya Andreevich Gambashidze, the founder of the Moscow-based company Social Design Agency (SDA), as well as two of his crypto addresses.
In the following Media Release, OFAC stated “Ilya Andreyevich Gambashidze (Gambashidze)…along with Nikolai Aleksandrovich Tupikin (Tupikin), CEO and current owner of Russia-based Grupa Structura (Structura), were involved in a persistent campaign of foreign malicious influence on management administration of the Russian president.” A media note In the previous edition of the US State Department, it is noted that Gambashidze “leads a group of actors of malicious influence consisting of members of SDA and Structure to carry out a campaign of manipulation of information against Latin American countries”.
